Committee Function: Responsible for membership recruitment and retention, and annual calendar of after hours networking mixers. Tasked with building contacts and mixer fundraising, promotion, and planning.

Committee Functions: Connect and learn about similar organizations operating on the Southside or in San Antonio, Share ideas and solutions on increasing or improving the eco tourism industry on the Southside, Provide insight to the South Chamber those issues facing the industry so that the Chamber can provide appropriate responses.

CSLA Alumni Assocation
President: Leopoldo Moncada

Committee Function: The mission of the CSLA Alumni Association is to facilitate the continuing personal growth, education, and development of CSLA graduates by expanding awareness of opportunities in the South Bexar County community and fostering a culture of partnership and civic engagement through active participation in networking, mentoring, and volunteering activities.
In 2016, the South Chamber rebranded and reignited it’s economic development council now called Southside First. The council, which represents 15 segments including education, real estate, community members and others is assessing current economic conditions and will be developing an economic strategy for South Bexar County.
In 2015, the South San Antonio Chamber of Commerce launched the Integrity of School Districts Initiative to reform public education in South Bexar County through policy initiatives that focus on transparency and accountability.
City South Leadership Academy is a nine month program that studies economic and community development, volunteerism,partnerships, internal/external relations, and much more. Participants are exposed to a wide array of venues, knowledgeable speakers and educational tours of a wide range of locations during the course of the program.
